Katy’s casting expertise has been instrumental in the success of numerous hit series, including nine seasons of ABC’s Wipeout, FOX’s Extracted (Seasons 1 & 2) produced by Sylvester Stallone and B17, ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, USA Network and Jordan Peele’s Scare Tactics, and HGTV’s Celebrity IOU with the Property Brothers. Her work has earned her Emmy recognition for Netflix’s Instant Dream Home and an Emmy Award nomination for Tidying Up with Marie Kondo.
As an executive producer, she helmed two seasons of HBO Max’s critically acclaimed docuseries House of Ho—inspired by Crazy Rich Asians—which won the Rockie Award for Best Docusoap at the BANFF World Media Festival. She also executive produced Amazon’s De Viaje Con Los Derbez, one of the platform’s highest-performing Latin American unscripted shows, featuring global star Eugenio Derbez and his family. The series earned nominations for a Kids' Choice Award for Favorite Reality Show and an Imagen Award.
Beyond television, Katy is a prolific film producer with a passion for stories that highlight positive family values. She raised private equity to produce and package critically acclaimed feature films, including Where the Red Fern Grows, starring Dave Matthews and distributed by Walt Disney, and the award-winning drama Finder’s Fee, written and directed by Jeff Probst, starring Ryan Reynolds, James Earl Jones, Robert Forster, Erik Palladino, and Matthew Lillard, which won the Golden Space Needle Award for Best Film. Wallin and Probst later teamed up again for the coming-of-age feature Kiss Me, featuring Sarah Bolger, Emily Osment, John Corbett, Jenna Fischer, and Rita Wilson.
Katy’s work has been spotlighted by leading outlets including Entertainment Tonight, Access Hollywood, Extra, Entertainment Weekly, The Hollywood Reporter, Variety, People, The LA Times, and The New York Times. She is a member of the Producers Guild of America and the Television Academy, and previously served as Vice President of the Casting Society of America.
