Mystic Spotlight: JC from Beast Games S1
JC was one of 1,000 contestants selected by MysticArt Pictures for the hit unscripted competition Beast Games — and walked away with a $650,000 win. It’s been over a year since Season 1 wrapped filming, and JC shared his Beast Games experience:
- What did it feel like to win that prize?
“There was so much weight lifted off my shoulders...I did exactly what I said I would — cleared my debt. There were medical bills and IVF expenses, and now I’m completely debt-free, aside from utilities and my mortgage.”
- How did this experience impact you?
“This experience helped me reflect as a person, what I need to work on and change- I learned that I can be impulsive, and now I take pause and think things through."
- What's your advice for people wanting to be submit to be in shows like Beast Games?
“Be open to the challenge and experience...I looked around [that first day] and thought, ‘There’s no way I can do this.’ But I changed my mindset — from ‘I can’t’ to ‘How can I?’ And that changed everything.”
