Your TV Moment- 8 Tips to Land Your Dream TV Show
Keep reading for tips from Mystic that will make your unforgettable and book your next show!
- Submit photos that show us your vibe. No need for pro photos, but make sure your pics and videos are clear, well-lit, and reflect you at your best.
- Own your archetype. Pick your lane and lean into 100%! Unscripted shows like to have different ‘archetypes’. Pick one and lean into it! (examples: “The Strategist”, “America’s Sweetheart”, “The Hero”, etc).
- Be memorable in 15 secs. Lead with a hook-you should capture our attention in 15 seconds.
- Visible and physical energy matters! We want to see your excitement, so when you submit a video, make sure you’re giving 10/10 energy, and keep that energy as you move through the casting process.
- Your social media will be checked! When you move forward, in the end, we’re looking for personality consistency. If you’re wild and fearless, but your feed is private, that might be a red flag.
- Prep a ‘first episode’ moment. Have something that you can do or say in the first episode that makes you memorable.
- Give a ‘why now’ reason. Why are you applying to this season? Is there something compelling in your life that makes you timely to be on the show?
- Highlight what your superpower is. What makes you different? What’s that one thing people always remember about you? Lead with that.
