MysticArt’s staff is comprised of a diverse group of talented individuals, all who have a passion for the artistic and creative process of filmmaking. Over the the last decade the company has created a niche for independent films, many of which have been selected and screened at some of the most prestigious film festivals in the world. Wallin has a tremendous passion for finding material that depict hope, meaning and important life messages. She is proud to continue the company mission of developing, packaging, branding, marketing and raising equity funding for feature film and TV products projects. Recently, MysticArt completed production on independent feature Prankstar written, directed and starring Tom Green. The company also produced Award Winning Film “Finder’s Fee” starring Ryan Reynolds, James Earl Jones, Matthew Lillard, Robert Forster and was written and directed by Jeff Probst. One of her passion projects was producing Award-Winning film and beloved family classic “Where the Red Fern Grows” Starring Dave Matthews which Walt Disney released.    
         
WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS        

 

Wallin recently produced the time honored and beloved classic, “Where the Red Fern Grows.” Wallin has always had a passion for working on projects that promote positive family values and believes it is important to cherish classic, literary achievements through the film medium. “Where the Red Fern Grows” is the “Fifth Best Selling Paperback Children’s Book of All Time” and continues to be required reading in schools across the nation. The film stars rock musician Dave Matthews, Dabney Coleman, Ned Beatty, Kris Kristofferson, Mac Davis, Joseph Ashton, and Renee Faia. “Where the Red Fern Grow” marked Dave Matthews’ debut film performance. This film was the recipient of the Crystal Heart Award at the Heartland Film Festival. “Where the Red Fern Grows” will be released in 2004.

 

 
     
FINDER'S FEE    

 

 

Finder’s Fee captured the Best Film Award at the Seattle International Film. In addition to the best film award, the film won Best Screenplay at the Methodfest Film Festival, and was recognized by several other prominent US film festivals. This wonderfully suspenseful ensemble piece set in New York City stars legendary actor James Earl Jones, Oscar nominated actor Robert Forster, Erik Palladino, Matthew Lillard, Ryan Reynolds, Dash Mihok, and Carly Pope. Wallin single-handedly raised independent equity financing, packaged an all-star cast, and oversaw the production and all aspects of marketing and publicity for this project. For this project, Wallin partnered with writer/director Jeff Probst, host of the highly successful series “Survivor.” Probst was recently named one of the ten directors to watch by the American Cinematique. Finder’s Fee was acquired by Lions Gate Entertainment, and was released in October 2003.


   
     
     
ROMANTIC COMEDY 101    
MysticArt Pictures sold a script to the popular network E! Entertainment entitled Romantic Comedy 101. Full of comedy, wit, romance, and charm, it is an insider’s look at the process of making a successful romantic comedy. The made for television film was directed by Peter DeLuise and starred Tom Arnold, Jeremy London, Joseph Lawrence, Natalia Cigliuti, and Thomas Ian Nicholas. Wallin of MysticArt Pictures executive produced the project along with E! Entertainment and Shavick Entertainment. The film aired on Valentine’s Day 2002 on the popular network.    
     
     
SANTIARA    

MysticArt Pictures recently produced a pilot presentation that is being targeted for a television series in 2004. This series is a romantic odyssey that brings best selling romance novels to life. There are over 70 million romance fans worldwide and we are catering to a billion dollar a year industry. MysticArt Pictures has developed a global marketing and distribution strategy that capitalizes on the loyal and proven male and female fan base. The romance market has proven to be a viable audience that is virtually untapped in the television marketplace. MysticArt Pictures is working closely with some of the world’s most renowned romance authors to bring this proven formula to television in 2003.

Wallin recently shot a pilot presentation for her romantic odyssey series, and used the new high definition technology by shooting with the Sony 24P high definition camera. MysticArt Pictures’ ultimate goal is to bring film-like quality to television that is economically feasible, entertaining, and maintains a high production value

   
     
     
KNOCKOUT    
Wallin co-produced and cast the feature film, Knockout, a stylized docudrama about the rise of a female Latina fighter and can be best described as the first “female Rocky movie.” For this film, Wallin as nominated for an Artios Award for her Achievement in Casting. This project was appealing to Wallin because of the strong female lead. Wallin conducted a four-month search for the female lead and eventually cast newcomer Sophia Adella Hernandez in the role. The film starts Maria Conchita Alonso, William McNamara, Paul Winfield, Tony Plana, Eduardo Yanez, and Tony Burton. Some of the film’s proceeds went to benefit an inner city youth foundation. “Knockout” was released theatrically in the spring of 2000.    
     
     
DILLINGER IN PARADISE    
MysticArt Pictures produced the award-winning independent project entitled “Dillinger in Paradise.” This is an action/adventure fantasy about a gang of modern-day bank robbers (the Johnny Hill Gang) who pattern their robberies after the exploits of the notorious John Dillinger. Originally shot as a short, the film garnered numerous awards on the festival circuit and was selected as a finalist in the Hollywood Film Festival’s 1999 Hollywood Discovery Awards. As a result, Dillinger in Paradise was cybercast online at the prestigious Entertainment Tonight TV Show website at www.etonline.com! In addition, Dillinger received the prestigious Gold Award at the WorldFest International Film Festivals. Dillinger is now set to be shot as a feature length film. This sexy, dangerous, and wildly unpredictable story looks to be both critically and commercially viable. The film starred Maria Conchita Alonso.    
CHRISTMAS IN THE CLOUDS    
A classic comedy of mistaken identity and romance set during the holiday season at a ski resort that is owned and operated by a Native American Nation. Shot on location at The Sundance Resort in Utah, this is the first contemporary romantic comedy to feature an almost entirely American Indian cast. The film was featured at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival.    
NATIONAL LAMPOON’S “PUCKED”    
Frank Hopper (Bon Jovi) is a former lawyer, long-term loser and constant dreamer - and frankly, probably just not all that bright. When he receives a credit card in the mail, he believes he's hit the jackpot. It's not long before he's working his way toward financing his dream - an all-woman hockey team. He's also put himself in debt to the tune of more than $300,000. Naturally, he winds up in court when his plan backfires.    
TRUMPET OF THE SWAN    
Based on E. B. White's much-loved 1970 children's book about a mute swan who learns to communicate by reading, writing and playing the trumpet is a bland, well-meaning mishmash that never coheres into a dramatic whole. The movie features the voices of Jason Alexander, Reese Witherspoon, Joe Mantegna and Seth Green.    
POOR WHITE TRASH    
In rural Sunrise, Illinois, waitress Linda Bronco wants her son Mike to go to college, but all summer after high school, his dim friend Lenny Lake leads Mike into trouble. Their life of crime soon involves Linda, too, as they need money for a lawyer (Lenny's charlatan grandpa Ron, whose trophy wife is the ex-girlfriend of Brian, Linda's latest lover). When Ron fails Mike, Linda decides to send Mike to private college, so she needs more money. After Brian gives them a tip on cash at Mr. Snack, a fast food joint, it's robbery time. Then there's Suzi and Suzy, young women who work at Mr. Snack and have their eyes on Mike and Lenny. Is there a ticket out of the trailer park?
